7th Annual Morton Plant Mease Triathlon

Clearwater, Fl. – On June 24, the 7th annual Morton Plant Mease Triathlon, presented by the Skip Cline Society, is anticipated to draw more than 1,000 athletes from around the country and will benefit the not-for-profit hospitals of Morton Plant Mease Health Care.

The course begins with a 1/3 mile open water swim in the Gulf of Mexico at Sand Key Park.  From there, the 13 mile bike route crosses Sand Key Causeway, through Clearwater Beach and over the Memorial Causeway, then winds through downtown Clearwater and scenic Belleair and the Belleair Beach Causeway.  Runners complete the race with a 3.1 mile run through Sand Key Park.

As part of our commitment to the highest quality care, the proceeds from the 7th annual Morton Plant Mease Triathlon will go towards enhancing the pediatric care at the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease by helping fund new pediatric equipment for our emergency rooms.
